Why join Omega Delta Phi?
The question you are really asking yourself is why should I care? Which is understandable, most people don't understand the necessity for why we would even exist. Many of us are first generation college students coming from low income families that were very proud of the fact that we made it to college. None of us are from the Flagstaff area so we know what its like to miss your family, friends, and surroundings. We have been a valuable source to each other that it is hard to comprehend unless you know what it's like. We enjoy haning out, chilling, just kicking it with each other during our down time and are there to support each other in times of need. Our primary focuses for the year are going to be socials, studying, service, and stepping; in case you were interested.
Why should I pay for friends?
Believe it or not this is a very common question. You don't with us. You pay the absolute minimum we can afford. It costs money to have you on our roster; we have to pay National Dues, which cover our insurance policy; Interfraternal Council Dues, which assist Greek Life in recruiting and promotions; we also pay regional dues, which go towards the regional conference and assisting chapters. You pay nothing that goes into our fundraising account. Anything we want to do we have to work for. Because of this we make our brotherhood accessible to a wider audience. We do not charge unnessasarily so that we can have fun. We can honestly say that we have the lowest dues available to you and because of that we have the lowest dues of all fraternities.
What is Mountain View?
Mountain View is the dorm in which all Greek Organizations are offered housing. We currently reside in the fourth floor, behind the elevators. We encourage living in Mountain View because this is a great resource for us to work on our brotherhood. We live with each other and get to know one another better. There will be few times you will go hungry or be denied things because we understand that we want to be there for each other not turn our backs. It's better than living with strangers and having to get everything for yourself. There were many times when we have depended on each other for bread, milk, a mircrowave or just a ride somewhere. Also, many socials we plan are last minute with those living in. Whether its a 2 am trip to Denny's or going to the movies it is easier to stay in the loop living here. The best part is that we live in a suite style dorm; meaning we share a bathroom with only three other people instead of a whole hallway.
